​The Perfect Derma Peel is a professional chemical peel used to resurface the skin and improve selected concerns involving discoloration, sun damage, dullness, fine lines, rough texture, and post-acne marks. A Brightening Booster may be selected for patients with more significant uneven pigmentation, melasma, or visible photoaging.

What to Expect

The peel solution is applied in the office, and the patient follows a required home-care schedule. Visible peeling usually begins after treatment and continues for several days. Patients must avoid picking or pulling peeling skin and must use strict sun protection. Social downtime varies according to skin response.

Risks and Limitations

  • Burning, stinging, redness, swelling, dryness, crusting, or prolonged peeling

  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation

  • Cold-sore reactivation, infection, delayed healing, or scarring

  • Worsening irritation when aftercare or sun avoidance is not followed

  • Results vary, and more than one treatment or a different treatment may be recommended

Treatment May Be Postponed

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding when contraindicated by the product protocol

  • Active infection, cold sore, open skin, dermatitis, or significant inflammation

  • Recent isotretinoin use or another factor affecting wound healing

  • Recent laser, waxing, aggressive exfoliation, or other skin procedure

  • Inability to avoid sun exposure or follow the required home-care instructions

Sequencing With PRP Microneedling

The Perfect Derma Peel and PRP microneedling are not performed as one aggressive treatment. When both are recommended, they are scheduled separately after the skin has fully recovered. Timing is individualized according to healing, pigment risk, and the patient's treatment goals.
