Physician-Directed IV Nutrition and Hydration
IV nutrition delivers fluids and selected nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous catheter. At Andelana MD Health & Longevity, IV treatment is provided as a medical service—not as a one size-fits-all spa treatment. The formula, amount of fluid, route, and infusion time are selected after reviewing the patient's health history, medications, allergies, recent symptoms, prior laboratory results, and treatment goals.
IV Options That May Be Offered
Myers' Nutrient Infusion: A combination of selected vitamins and minerals used as a general nutrient support infusion.
NAD+ Infusion: A slower infusion designed for patients seeking metabolic, energy, or healthy-aging support. Tolerance and infusion rate vary.
Mitochondrial and Oxidative-Stress Support: A physician-selected combination intended to support cellular metabolism and antioxidant capacity.
Amino Acid and Recovery Support: Selected amino acids and nutrients for appropriately screened patients focused on recovery, nutrition, or physical resilience.
Immune-Support Nutrient Infusion: Selected nutrients used to support general wellness; it is not a treatment for an acute infection or a replacement for medical care.
Glutathione or Detoxification Support: Glutathione may be provided by infusion or slow IV push when appropriate. The term "detox" refers to antioxidant and metabolic support and does not imply removal of every environmental exposure or toxin.
Lipotropic, B-Complex, or B12 Support: Selected B vitamins and lipotropic nutrients may be used when clinically appropriate and compatible with the patient's history and laboratory findings.

Before the Infusion

What to Expect
A small IV catheter is placed in a vein, and the selected solution is administered over the time appropriate for that formula. The patient is observed during treatment. Some IV pushes or smaller-volume treatments are shorter, while NAD+ and other infusions may require a slower rate. Patients should report burning, pain, swelling, dizziness, nausea, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, itching, or any unusual symptoms immediately.

Who May Need a Different Plan
Patients with significant kidney disease, heart failure, fluid restriction, uncontrolled blood pressure, serious liver disease, active infection, pregnancy, complex medication interactions, or a history of severe infusion reactions may require modification, additional testing, specialist clearance, or a different treatment.
