When you are sick or injured and need to be seen quickly, Andelana MD offers same-day and shortnotice appointments as scheduling allows. These visits are intended for acute, non-emergency concerns that can be appropriately evaluated and treated in an office setting.

Conditions We Can Evaluate & Treat

Cold, cough, congestion, sore throat, and flu-like symptoms
Fever, sinus symptoms, and ear infections
Bronchitis and other non-emergency respiratory symptoms
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and selected mild-to-moderate abdominal symptoms
Headaches
Rashes and minor skin infections
Non-life-threatening allergic reactions
Minor burns
Cuts and lacerations
Sprains, strains, and minor musculoskeletal injuries
Selected minor fractures
Dehydration
Other acute, non-emergency medical concerns

Minor Injury & In-Office Procedures

Evaluation and treatment of cuts and wounds
Suturing of appropriate lacerations
Wound care and dressing
Splinting, bracing, or casting when medically appropriate
Evaluation and stabilization of selected minor fractures
Treatment of sprains and strains
Minor office-based surgical procedures when appropriate
Incision and drainage of appropriate superficial abscesses or skin lesions
Removal of selected superficial foreign bodies
Other minor procedures within the scope of an office visit

Note: Additional imaging, laboratory testing, specialist evaluation, or emergency-department care may be recommended when clinically necessary.

IV Hydration

IV hydration may be available when medically appropriate, including for selected patients with dehydration or fluid loss related to acute illness. Treatment recommendations are made after medical evaluation.

Same-day appointments are offered as scheduling allows. Please contact the office as early as possible if you are requesting a same-day visit.

Acute Care - Not Ongoing Primary Care

Same-Day Sick & Urgent Care at Andelana MD is intended for episodic and acute medical care. This service does not establish ongoing primary-care continuity and is not intended to replace an established primary care physician for routine chronic-disease management, annual preventive examinations, or continuous management of complex medical conditions.

Patients should continue routine and longitudinal care with their established primary care physician when applicable.

When to Go Directly to the Emergency Department

Call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department for potentially life-threatening symptoms, including:

Chest pain or pressure
Severe difficulty breathing
Signs of stroke
Loss of consciousness or significant altered mental status
Severe or rapidly worsening abdominal pain
Uncontrolled bleeding
Major fractures or significant trauma
Severe allergic reaction or airway swelling
Severe dehydration
Any condition that appears life-threatening
