HydraFacial

Cleansing, Exfoliation, Pore Care, and Hydration

HydraFacial is a device-assisted facial treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, solution-based pore care, and hydration. It may be used as a stand-alone treatment for refreshed skin or as one component of a broader aesthetic plan. Andelana MD's current HydraFacial service does not include LED therapy or manual extraction.

Treatment May Include

  • Cleansing and surface exfoliation

  • Alpha- or beta-hydroxy solution selection according to the patient's skin

  • Device-assisted pore cleansing

  • Hydrating and antioxidant serums

  • Optional physician-selected boosters when appropriate

Concerns Commonly Discussed

  • Dull or congested skin

  • Dryness or uneven texture

  • Visible pores

  • Mild surface discoloration

  • Preparation or maintenance between other skin treatments

What to Expect

Most patients experience little downtime. Temporary redness, tightness, sensitivity, or mild irritation may occur. Strong acids, retinoids, exfoliants, and sun exposure may need to be limited before and after treatment.

HydraFacial With PRP Microneedling

A more comprehensive skin-renewal plan may combine HydraFacial with microneedling and topical PRP. The sequence and timing are individualized. Patients with sensitive skin, active inflammation, pigment risk, or recent procedures may require the treatments to be separated rather than performed together.

Treatment May Be Postponed

  • Active infection, cold sore, open wound, or significant inflammatory skin flare

  • Recent aggressive peel, laser, waxing, or other procedure

  • Known sensitivity to a planned solution or booster

  • Sunburn or inability to follow sun-protection instructions
